Central NY
A big part of that will be what time of year you plan to do tiling. August tile versus trying to make it work in the winter are very different parameters with hillsides, rocks and clay or all three at the same time. Up here we can plow over 5’ deep in knolls with no pull all summer and do a great job busting up the subsoil, but come winter time without the perfect frost you can’t plow 24” in some of those spots without a large pull tractor.
We run a crary on an articulate and it works great. 8400 could get it done for you if it’s summer tile, not doing large mains, and not having to go over 3’ deep much. If your terrain is like ours in upstate NY, most fields you can get by with just 4”, and sometimes needing a 6” unless you’re dealing with WASCOB’S or large flats.
I know of a few Soilmax 3pt and pull type that seem to work really well for guys near us. I personally will never go away from our mounted (quick mount) plow
