Subject: plant population

Coastal South Carolina
Good evening gentlemen,

I am trying to figure plant population. I know it should be simple math but sometimes I can't figure simple things.

I am planting on 36 in rows. I have 6 plants per row ft. There are 43,560 square feet in an acer.

1ft X 3ft= 3Sq ft. sample

43,560 / 3 sq ft sample= 14,520

14,520 X 6 plants per sample = 87,120 plants per acer?

Is this correct?

TIA

PS I am doing an on farm side by side test plot of (pearl millet and soybeans) and (sorghum sudan and soybeans) planted together for cow grazing. Trying to determine plant population in case I try it again next year. Don"t know how it will work but trying it to see.
