Southwest Michigan
This, we always plant a cover crop. It is a great time to get a long window for cover crop growth. The live plants draw down the moisture and live roots give the support for equipment. It has been some of our best corn on some years. Corn/soybeans/wheat/cover crop/corn. Breaks the disease and bug cycles, 4 crops in three years.

If it needs tile it just needs tile.
