Jackson County, AL

Here if you drag one into the woods the buzzards will drag it back out so they can all get around the table.  If they die in the field they get eaten in short order and there won't be weeds on it the rest of the season, so not all bad.  For whatever reason the bones have been disappearing before harvest, at least most of them, and we can't figure out what is eating or moving them besides armadillos.  It just started in the last year or two and in the fall you just see a bare circle, whereas you used to see a bare circle with bones in it.  We've been at this depredation thing for a lot of years and have seen all kinds of tricks and repellents but lead is the only solution that helps the problem rather than prolong it.  A thermal and suppressor on an AR in the flavor of your choice is the game changer and will make you money.  We have over 5 figures in two rigs and we could literally throw them in the scrap barrel and start over with all new every year and they'd still be the best ROI on the farm.
