NW Central Ohio | ...After being told that I have to plant milkweed (or some other approved forb) on an erosion/fertility control strip next to the river about 33' wide....I'm not so sure I'll ever participate in any NRCS projects again. I went in to it hoping it would do some good keeping phosphorous out of the water, so Lake Erie wouldn't have so much algae in it. After having the NRCS and FSA alter the contract so now I have to plant a noxious weed to satisfy the "Butterfly Watchers"...who couldn't tell how many Monarchs overwintered in Mexico if God held there hand while counting....I'm done with them. | |
