Black Hawk County, IA | Church had some pumpkin seeds. 7 year-old little blonde firecracker took a couple home to her mother. Her mother told her to get me to help her with them. Ok, fine, she’s my Kryptonite. Now, my wife has got on board, and wants to see how big of a pumpkin we can raise. I know less than nothing about pumpkins, other than they are good in a pie tin with real whipped cream on them. What kind of fertilizers do they like ? Guessing a lighter soil with lots of added water ? Added help/advice would be appreciated ! TIA. J
