whether you are in Central NE or Western IA, probably doesn't matter at this point. You have another maybe 7 days rain delay and 116 - 117 RM corn.

Old rule was corn "naturallly" shortens its maturity something like 1/4 or 1/2 day RM for every day it is delayed planted after either May 31 or June 5 or something. That just shortens the gdu's to get to black layer - it doesn't help with drydown.....

I might be f.o.s. but your hybrids aren't going to make it - in my opinion - with the weather cards we are dealt right now. Get on the horn with your Pioneer dealer and your white corn contract place and find a shorter RM hybrid substitute.
