Do you need to meet a 95% purity spec or 99.1%?

I've been pretty consistently successful planting similar maturity corn as neighbors and planting 150-200 GDU later with my organic production. At least half the time I'm growing for a buyer with a 2% or lower GMO tolerance.

I have planted colored popcorn on a border a few times and usually stop seeing purple kernels 20 or so rows into the field.

I prefer to plant a hybrid that is a few days shorter RM on the borders so I have "good" pollen blowing around in case the main hybrid shoots silks a day ahead of dropping pollen. I've been using a Pura-Maize hybrid on my borders if I can't get enough time isolation and that has been effective too.
