| We have some food grade corn that we typically wait to plant till the neighbors are done, but with a late spring everything is getting backed up. We typically plant 109 to 115 day corn, which is what a lot of the neighbors do as well. Central IL location. Is it better to plant a 109 day on about the same day as the neighbors plant a 112 to 115 day and try to pollinate ahead or wait a week and try to plant a later maturity compared to something a little earlier they plant? Any experiences with this? The cross pollination will ruin our purity test. | |
