Hail Ins? Most hail ins companies won't adjust it for at least 10 days as they want to see how/if it recovers. I've seen some pretty hard hit corn come out of it & produce decently.. Biggest issue you will have is the plants will "buggy whip" as it recovers. If it buggy whips the plant is done for, will just depend how many do. Years ago I had an adjuster tell me to take a mower & clip the corn just below where it's knotting & the plant would grow back. I never tried it, nor seen it done. IIRC, that field made about 70% of what my fields that didn't get hit made. At the time it was too late to replant. Always wished I tried clipping a few rows just to see how it worked.
