Back in the 90’s the selling point to those were to notill into wheat stubble. The wave entering the ground fairly straight up and down wasn’t supposed to push the stubble so decreased the stubble hairpinning. THe exit angle was very aggressive. I found the best use of those was notilling into sod. Would actually lift the sod a touch on both sides and opener went right through and press wheel pushed sod back down. I always got a good stand in sod with those.
