South Western, IL
Personally if you have some patience I would consider shopping around and trying to find a good used Deere with the hydraulic already on it if you can.

We put air downforce on our case corn planter years ago and it was and is much better than springs but we just got a lightly used Deere 1775 with hydraulic down force on it already.

I have only used it on 100 acres so far but it is unreal the difference in performance. I can’t wait to try it on some of our no til fields.

I’m not sure what the payback will be. That will be hard to quantify but we bought planter used with it on it already so that helps since it was bought cheaper than adding it for full price plus labor.
