A Compressor is maybe $1500 used, $3k+ new.

Used Air bags depend if you want upforce or downforce.  Maybe $100/row or less.

DOT airline and tee's, easy.

Weigh pins and RUM's, you may have some already.


We have a box planter with spring downforce and air lift bags and I occasionally adjust the springs between no-till and conventional till if the downpressure differences exceeds the ability of the airbag to adjust.

As to ROI, that is the magic question. Plenty of superplanters around with hydraulic downforce on conventional tilled ground and it does look mighty pretty behind them as the crop emerges.
