Douglass Kansas

Other than strip till for corn, milo and cotton, we almost never till. Only reason we have worked ground since 2005 was to smooth out after filling in water hole, digging ditch, tiling, building terraces, or major rutting from sprayer or combine. We only work part of field that that needs it not the whole field. We have used a chisel to remove sprayer ruts and only worked about a 2 foot wide path where the ruts were at, by removing the shanks in the middle of the chisel.
