Central Iowa
I have always believed soybeans don't like wet feet, planting in a furrow or trench which tend to collect rainwater is a recipe for disaster when it comes to damping off and other diseases. That's why I always liked ridge till because it kept the soybeans out of water allowing the seedbed to dry out faster. I never planted treated beans and rarely had to replant.
