Driftless SW Wisconsin

mac4440 - 5/7/2024 19:34 Yep. I sometimes have to laugh when I hear guys saying we are killing our soils. But yet productivity keeps climbing

"Productivity" (=yields?) may be increasing but what is happening to soil organic matter levels????

Hydroponics can be productive also.

I believe the true measure of how "regenerative" we are or are not is reflected in soil organic matter levels.

There is a rest stop on I-80 west of Des Moines which has a display which shows western Iowa top soil levels from the time the prairie was broken until now. Very informative (hint: it is not increasing
