Why play the rebate game though? I'll take my rebate on the front end.
I normally think the same way. For us branded glyphosate was only $1.80/Gal higher than the generics. So roughly around $.45 per acre more. Bayer rewards pays $1.00 per acre back for branded gylphosate. Double your money by waiting a year is a pretty good return in my book. I hate programs with a passion, but you also can't completely ignore them. All big companies do it. If you are familiar with Menards they offer an 11% rebate on every purchase for most of the year. A friend if mine used to be an accountant for them and he told me a couple years ago that less than half of the rebates actually get sent in. |
