Subject: With the widespread wet conditions, will PRR be the soybean disease challenge in 2024?

NC Iowa
Plant breeders have been using genetic resistance, primarily the Rps1k gene for Phytophthora Root Rot resistance for over 30 years. New biotypes of PRR have evolved with the ability to attack soybeans and overcome resistance from the use of the Rps1k gene. PRR was showing up in the past couple dryer years. The wet start to 2024 could cause a new PRR outbreak.
