Subject: Terminating rye- glyphosate and crimper timing

Hello all, we are located in NE Nebraska and have cereal rye growing that we intend to plant corn into. Half of our acres got planted green and then sprayed, which is plan “A”. Fast forward two weeks and 6” of rain and the rye is now knee high and has some heads just sticking out. My question: we have access to a roller crimper, would it make sense to plant green, spray the rye with glyphosate, then roll the rye 24 hrs later to reduce the shading affect on the corn? Is it worth the extra pass? Will the rye stay flat if it has nodes at 10-12” above ground?
