If you have ever stood under a turbine in the wind, listened to them roar and creak, flash shadows in you windows, or seen them fling ice 1000 feet you will not build anything close to one. The blade tips spin at something like 180 mph in a strong wind. The turbine maintenance employees are restricted from going within 1/4 mile of a turbine anytime there is lighting with 20 miles or any signs of ice buildup. They certainly restrict your ability to use your own property whether the greedy politicians have passed zoning laws or not. They should be zoned industrial and treated like the factories they are.
Come to my area anytime you want and then tell me you would build a house or barn close to a neighbors turbine.
I have plenty of turbines in my area. Don't have to travel far to see, hear, and touch one.
Whether I'd build near one is not the point.
The point is that "here", the Anti turbine group were making claims that placing a turbine limited the neighboring parcel's ability to build. And again "here", that's 100% false.
Couple years back, an anti-turbine (now anti solar also) guy from southern Michigan was quoted in a state wide news agency website his description of Trespass Zoning. Which I called him on. I didn't need to see 100 instances, just 1. Show me one case where a building permit was denied because a turbine was on the neighboring property. Just one case. Still waiting for the info I asked for.
