coast of Maine
But and it a BIG BUT,when you have visible assets and you have interactions with the public such as driving and you make a mistake or even if you dont,,,,milliions are sought out by the aggrieved party. Not just say a million but a few million. Then you need to pay to defend the self insured bond you have.So many lawsuits are just about whom has the deep pockets and the attorneys involved want their pockets full again. You could spend a million on defense fees and still lose the suit and pay a few million more.Vicarious liability is just a worming way to get all your dough.I have been on the winning side in defense of a suit for 5 million and on the folding side where a dolt got nearly 2 million(well the lawyers got a big part)no one was injured permanently. They sought 5 million. Why? Assets they thought.Incorporation saved my farm.Insurance policies as well.
