| I think I heard aphids respond to a nutritional imbalance. Have you done any tissue or sap analysis to see if there's a buildup or shortage of a nutrient?
I think it was John Kempf that said aphids will commonly respond to a nitrate surplus in plant tissue. The imbalance being that the plant that's been fertilized doesn't have enough of the chemical that converts nitrate into starch to convert all of the available nitrates and the aphids can smell the surplus. | |
