Mid-Michigan
I completely agree with ceed. Maintenance is a bitch. I just got done with boots and blades and 4 setup gauge wheels. I very much would like a 15 inch ccs jd planter for soys but I just can't justify it or afford it. I plant wheat so I need a drill. I use the same machine for bot. About 500 acres of soys and 200 acres of wheat. It does a good job with both for me. If you are anal about exact seed spacing, it probably isn't for you. I might be a little heavy at times and a little light at times but I'll put my yield up against others in my area. My only complaint is the Maintenance. It's not fun or cheap to work on.
