coast of Maine | The no till does not work in the veg /fruit world here.Would be neat if it did but it is not practical at all.Here we often run a dominator and can immediately plant sturdier crops .This breaks up the beat down clay from too much rain.It just as many different techniques as there are places.Neighbor chisels all and discs twice ...every year.We just plod along with the Dominator most every other year.Ijust went to a field moments ago ,,ready to do bed prep,crew left an acre of wintered over green onions in the middle as they were concerned on food value(you go to bed hungry in a country you think diff) and it screwed my plans to the wall..I lost my mind...Its when I wish I had that nice midwest land and less employees,,,those are become berry food in the AM.. | |
