| You have a long time, at this point absolutely do not kill the rye until you have the beans planted no matter how big the rye gets. This ground will almost certainly be the 1st ground ready to plant as things start to dry up. Keep an eye on it and don't just trust your instinct of looking at the soil and saying it's too wet. Dig and find out because this ground will dry from underneath not just from the top.
