We've been pretty brave when planting a broadleaf into a green grass cover. Soybean's into cereal rye for example. Planting a grass into a grass (for us) was an issue. Different rules and problems. I realize that in some areas, a grass into a grass cover works seemingly just fine. We just always struggled with it though.

AGAIN: I know many who can successfully follow a grass with a grass with no issues at all. Extra N as recommended is very important. We experienced more insect pressure. And slugs.

Anyway- as hard as it is to wait, if it were my field, I'd try to keep my powder dry. The Green Bridge is a real thing, I'd be cautious about planting into too much green with corn.
