Same situation here. Your location a week might do it. Planting first if they will wait is a good suggestion. Several factors here where I plant. How fast it emerges. It might lay there mine or theirs and come up same time ?? What is the purity of the seed you are planting? Very few companies around here will Guarantee purity. I shoot for a minimum of a week after my neighbors. This year will be closer to 2 weeks with the rain now. Even then It depends on the test I can plant 100% guaranteed seed and still have only about 2/3 of the loads pass some years.
