They can dig up fields some. They will eat pheasant eggs so the pheasant population declines.
Plus side is the eat insects and wake you up at daylight.
They can be fun to have around and watch until they become a nuisance. Shoot a few and they will leave for awhile.
They are kind of hard on vehicles if you run into one.
