It doesn't take near as much coverage to accidentally kill a crop with drift from a systemic herbicide as it takes to protect a crop with fungicide. One drop of RUP or Dicamba on a non-tolerant crop = dead crop. Meanwhile one drop of fungicide/plant on the crop you want to protect = wasted money.
Its the down draft from the airplane, helicopter or drone that allows them to get by with the low carrier rates. Its not magic.
