Eastern Shore of MD | Just applied 8 # of copper sulfate (25% Copper) per acre last week = about 2 # of actual copper.
I dissolved 400# per 1,200 gal sprayer load = just under a 4% solution by weight (10,000 # water plus 400# copper sulfate = 10,400# total, so 400# Copper sulfate/ 10,400# total weight = 3.8%) , so at 8# per acre that equals a 24 gal per acre application rate. The label said mix to a 3-5% solution.
Had planned to run 10# per acre but that would put the concentration near 5% and was afraid to go that high as I did not want it falling out of solution in my sprayer tank.
Copper sulfate dissolved very easily in the cone inductor on my tender and the whole process went easier than anticipated.
Just my experience.
PS. Rinsed sprayer a couple times right after application and had no problem.
