Yes, it is basically what happens when you have a lot lightning during a rainstorm. The Birkeland-Eyde process and unless you have something like a wind generator or cheap energy of some kind it isn’t anywhere near as cost effective as natural gas to ammonia. Nitric acid with lime and you get calcium nitrate.
