We run a turbotill and I've noticed that sometimes when they are to aggressive they end up moving the drier soil out of the way and you end up planting into the wetter undisturbed soil below. Which depending on how wet could almost be mud. But usually that's on wetter years when your trying to push the planting window a bit.
