there is possibility of a gas pipeline going through some of our land and was wondering for the people that have had pipelines installed on their land what is the price some of you have negotiated with the pipeline company for an easement for them to go through if you care to share? the company we are working with is basing payment on a price per running rod of pipe installed. I am just looking for some input and advise from land owners that have had a similar situation, This pipeline would carry gasoline and diesel fuel not CO2. thanks in advance


I don't know what they paid 75 years ago to run the NG lines here, but it wasn't enough. They've been fair on crop damage reimbursement when they've made repairs recently, but the soil above the trench is not the same as 20' on either side and it costs extra $ to cross it with tile and depth is sometimes a concern.

Make sure that they'll put the rocks back in the bottom if they dig any up.
