You could still plant rye or wheat, I believe the rye just won't make a head. If you go the millet route proso millet will likely be done and headed out by July 1 a lot of times it's done in 60-70 days. It should be shorter than brown top millet that will be done in 60 days. Last brown top millet I grew was 4-5ft tall and it reseeded itself a couple of seasons later. If you go the millet route I would terminate it before it goes to seed. I don't think you could go wrong with any of those unless the millet goes to seed
