Exceed is a non-sterile peat and has a lower rhizobia count than the sterile products out there. It has 200 million rhizobia per gram.

Sterile products will have 3 billion rhizobia per gram. 15 times more concentrated. One gram of sterile product is equal to 15 grams of non-sterile.

The Exceed I see on Amazon for $20 is 15 ounces. That would be 425 grams.

My research shows that 1 million rhizobia per seed is needed for maximum yield. Less than 300,000 per seed will not get you a yield response most of the time.

Most soybean seed is sold in 140,000 units.

One gram of Exceed will treat 200 seeds to get 1 million rhizobia per seed. It would take 700 grams to do one 140k unit of seed.

If you need to treat 6 units, then you need almost 10 packages of Exceed to get 1 million rhizobia per seed.

If you follow the Exceed recommendation (one packet treats 300# of seed) you only get 101,190 per seed (200000000rhizobia*425grams)/(6units*140000).
