Subject: RE: Why do some fields blow?

North Central Kansas
That December day was the worst I can remember for sustained winds. Yesterday was worse than Saturday here in NC KS. I was field cultivating some terraces that I had rebuilt on three farms. Spent most of the day in the tractor. I came home and unhooked the field cultivator and parked the 340 Magnum by the fuel barrel. The winds were rocking tractor back and forth. Had to be real careful if you got out of the tractor. Sure makes me want to hook the planter on and start planting. This will be the third year of this. Really concerned about keeping the cow herd together. I guess we can chop all the corn if it doesn't make. Won't that be fun.
