You’re going to have to be way better then me with a backpack sprayer to not have stunted spots and missed spots. To answer your question you need to know what your gallons per acre are going to be with your back pack sprayer. Assuming 20gpa you need 16oz/5g assuming 30gpa you need 10.7oz/5g.
