Henbit grows because your lawn has dirt and not soil. You have little aerobic activity...more anaerobic dirt, and things are rotting. when that happens, the decomposing creates methane gas, and, guess what? Henbit loves methane. I can fix that if you want, and you won't need any kind of chemicals. After all, why would you want yer pets or even your grandkids (if you have any) frolicing in all that poisoned turf? By the way, this recipe I have wil get rid of compaction too! It'll take a bit, the dirt will change back to soil, and the henbit will not be taking up residency any time soon.
