Alpena MI | I’m not going to use the margin for error debate. You can’t deny the laws of physics. Water will find its own level wether in a 3” pipe or a 4” pipe. If there is a 3” dip and a 3” pipe, I don’t really think that’s a whole lot different than a 3” dip in a 4” pipe. No matter what, the water depth will be 3” at that particular spot. Possibly in that scenario, if your 3” pipe is at capacity, it could slow drainage a bit but head pressure will still rule in that case. And there may be something to be said for water velocity in a 3” pipe vs a 4” pipe. Although if we dig an alfalfa root out of a tile, nine times out of 10 it will be a 3” pipe. | |
