I guess we are pretty spoiled here. Local quarry has high calcium lime for $11/ton FOB. We have our own full frame dump so can haul 25 tons per trip and it’s a 45 minute round trip to most fields.

Spread it ourselves with a BBI magnaspread spreader. So we probably have $20-25 per ton in it including product, trucking and spreading.

Could you get it on a backhaul and stockpile it in the field? Could save some money there? Closer source? Probably not but a few phone calls could save you a couple grand…
