Subject: RE: 30" or 38" Cotton ?

North Texas Panhandle Dumas Texas
Here in the northern part of the Panhandle of Texas I know of no cotton planted on 38" or 40" rows. Almost all is on 30" rows, because most growers are primarily corn or sorghum growers using 30" rows. There is some cotton planted in 20" and even 15" rows. The 20" and 15" cotton is harvested with broadcast strippers at an angle to the rows. The broadcast strippers tend to leave more cotton in the field than row units.
