Mid-Michigan | The blue line is a farmers tile and it runs through your yard? I guess you don't have much choice but to dig it up and see if it's installed correctly. I can't believe anyone would go through all that work and not put it in on grade. You're sure it's backflowing? You can see water percolating up through the ground after a rain? I'd go ask the previous owner about it or at least the farmer that you tapped into.
