Southern Michigan | Pickup what you can, hire it custom until you get your own equipment. I have 28k wrapped up in all of my equipment, nothing fancy. It's just a good solid line of equipment for my needs. I only farm what I own and rent a few acres from friends. Do the best job you can. Keep your place cleaned up and mowed. This is my second chance at farming. I was forced to quit before things got too far out of control...I dealt with some unfortunate things that came up. Be upfront with current and potential LL. Not all the guys at the coffee shop will be on your side, but there will be a few that will notice.
