McCanna, ND | Salesman called the other day and threw out that he can get meristems upshift C starter fert. It’s a dry product with a 12-58-0 analysis.
We run 5 gal/ac of 10-34-0. We are getting almost 20lbs/ac of P with the starter right now.
With meristem it looks like they recommend 1/2 lb of concentrate per gallon of 10-34-0 replaced. So if my math is correct 2.5lbs of up shift is the recommended replacement. At 58% analysis that would only be 1.45lbs/P per acre? I’m guessing to get it to a comparable lb-lb it would be 15x the cost of 10-34.
Are there any tried and true replacement options for 10-34-0 that gives the same amount of P that are relatively close in price?
