Kettle Moraine, WI | There is the reason why I hadn't seen one tried regionally and that must be it. Some of the videos I watched I was shocked how acceptable it seems to be to the company's promoting their products to be dragging there harrows stuffed full of straw. The nightmare that would be in corn stalks, even chopped and tilled.
Going for my field cultivator tune harrow leveler the tines can drag and ball up corn stalks at their most vertical setting. At their flattest setting they let go of residue well but are not as aggressive in soil disturbance. It appears heavy harrows are only able to be set close to vertical and don't have near as flat of setting as field cultivator harrow | |
