North Dakota | I’m just curious what everyone else is doing on their soybean planting spacing. We are currently planting them in 30 inch spacing which most people don’t do around here. Seems like a lot of people like using their drills which is 7.5-15 inch spacing. Couple years ago we used both the drill and planter and they seemed to yield about the same. Has anyone else seen any big yield differences? I would much rather use a planter over a drill a lot less maintenance and you use a lot less seed especially with row shut off, not having to calibrate your cart when you get a different seed varieties. We are in eastern North Dakota and are conventional till. Thanks for any input. | |
