North Central Illinois
I'll throw out some numbers for example. Assume 150 bu/acre yield . If kernel size is at 80,000 per bu that is going to make 150 units of seed (I know there's some loss in the grading process, but assume it is the same percentage).

If kernel size is large and we have 64,000 kernels per bushel that'll take 1.25 bu to fill a unit (which will weigh 70 lbs) and that 150 bu will only make 120 units.

If kernel size is small at 100,000 per bu that same acre will fill 187.5 units that each weigh 45 lbs.
