N.W. Ohio
So I’ve read several articles that claim nitrogen efficiency is poor in high mag soils due to lower oxygen levels within the soil profile. They also claim microbial activity is lower in a low oxygen environment so there is less N being released naturally in the soil. This all makes sense to me and I think it holds some merit.

Does anyone have real world experience with either.

A)Lowering your mag which obviously is a long term solution to this problem but takes a lot of time and money to achieve. After lowering your mag did you notice better N efficiency?

B)Cranking up your N units to “get by” in the short term until you achieve your long term goals.

C)Would adding more sulfur help this situation out?
