Wisconsin | No, it won't grow as fast as a clear tank. Green is actually a very light absorbing color, just look at leaves. If we're talking about a tank with a heavy coat of light green paint, then it will block light as well as a black tank. If the plastic is a light shade of green, and there's enough light inside to see through the water, then it will still grow algae. A tiny amount of copper sulfate will stop anything growing. | |
