They’re trees. We farm just to the west of that section. It is pasture ground now, some was farmed long ago but it’s not great farm ground. Those trees are all planted on old terrace lines. Looks even more strange on the ground.
Any tree you see on the flats out here are planted. Very few are naturally occurring.
